Chicago Fall Blitz
Peoples Gas and ComEd run multiple annual marketing programs called blitzes that focus a joint effort in a precise geotargeted location. In fall 2017, they targeted the south side of Chicago. A mailer was distributed as a follow-up to the blitz with the intent of carrying over the successful lead generation campaign into a new program year. Design elements included lifestyle-oriented images and a special focus on local customer testimonials. Three distinct mailers were sent out. The testimonials connoted personal investment in local communities by the utilities. The campaign attracted a total of 129 additional sign-ups on top of the 639 appointments generated in the blitz time frame.
